About Baby Steps

Baby Steps aims to enhance the wellbeing of new mums and dads and support them in their transition to parenthood.

Baby Steps was funded by beyondblue and was created at Queensland University of Technology and The Parent-Infant Research Institute (PIRI) by a team of psychologists, midwives and nurses.

The program was written primarily for parents having their first baby, but can be used by anyone with a young baby who wants to learn more about caring for their baby or themselves.

Baby Steps was written for both dads and mums, not just for new mums. The program provides information on aspects of the care of a new baby, as well as information on how parents can support each other and also take care of themselves.

Registration is required to access the Baby Steps program so that your progress with the program can be saved for later visits. See our Privacy Statement for how your information is handled.
